Once going through your brand as a person, organisation and symbol your brand will be fully establish! That’s who it would be. Knowing this helps you to understand the kind of relationship your brand will have with the community, clients and strangers. You’ll also have a much clearer picture of the type of employees you want to have representing your brand. You’ll know who to employ and who not to employ.

You’ll discover your business’ unique purpose.

Now, I have two questions for you: what service/product is best for your brand? Is that service/product the best possible option to help your business achieve its purpose?

The insurance brokerage didn’t just become out of thin air. The chosen service was well thought of, giving the brokerage a nice history.

In the late 1940s, John Schofield realised that there was a cycle of tragedy occurring. These tragedies would cause major setbacks in businesses and quite frankly, he didn’t enjoy seeing companies and individuals suffering as greatly as they were. What upset him most was that many of them had insurance. They were paying a monthly fee that insured if they were hit with a catastrophe, clients would be given cash to help them get back on their feet.

John Schofield saw and heard of many who were paying this premium, but not getting the pay-out they were promised. Learning that the business world, especially the insurance industry, was becoming more and more corrupt he wanted to prevent this fraudulence and dishonesty from worsening.

He realised that by launching himself as a specialised independent insurance broker, he could deliver a service that would bring impartiality and honesty back to the business world.

His service was based on delivering a purpose. Not the other way around. It was only in 1983 that Jerome, founder of JSib dedicated his life to serving this purpose too. Unfortunately, the insurance brokerage was sold at the passing of John. Under new management, the brokerage was no longer driven by its original intentions. That’s when Jerome re-establish the brokerage’s intentions and turned the business into what its known for today —assurance. And with assurance comes peace and security; security in knowing all is well.

There are many different fruits Jerome Schofield cc insurance brokers produces: specialised insurance, building insurance, public liability, private liability. There’s still a whole lot more: motor insurance, industrial or factory insurance, marine insurance, travel insurance, commercial insurance, home building insurance, household content insurance, and if that isn’t enough there are still more services the brokerage uses to influence the business world positively: equine insurance and cybercrime insurance.

These services assist clients when dealing with claims—especially large ones. The brokerage is used as an arbiter mediating for clients and insurance companies.

Can you see how these services; these fruits are parallel to the company’s purpose?

Because JSib make sure clients are settled in full as promised in the policy without having to appoint their own Ombudsman or an Assessor, they step into their calling by doing what is honest and impartial.

Although most users are businesses who are in need of short-term insurance such as the ones mentioned in the very long list above, it doesn’t stop the brokers from assisting those looking for personal short-term insurance.

The very last thing to consider is where does this tree grow best? Where will the fruit be productive? For JSib, the service operates best around Kwa-Zulu Natal and other provinces in South Africa while the main office is situated in the suburbs of Hillcrest in Durban.

Pretty amazing, huh?

The point that I want you to go away with is that this brokerage does not base themselves on their insurance services. Their services are a means to bring humanity back to the business world before they monetise.

We discovered that there was an ongoing cycle of trauma occurring that would cause major setbacks in businesses, and quite simply we didn’t enjoy seeing individuals suffering as greatly as they were especially after paying a monthly premium. We realised we could deliver a service that would change the outcome of a catastrophe by ensuring an impartial claim. JSib is a noble brokerage founded on the idea of a normal business day even after devastation occurs.
